DepthSketch

DepthSketch is a system that automatically adds perspective to sketches created by tracing photographs by combining camera images with depth information. By dynamically changing the thickness and density of lines traced from a photo based on depth information, the system can give sketches the same effects as existing perspective expressions such as atmospheric perspective.

Additionally, since the software internally stores depth information together with all drawn lines, it is possible to apply processing that reflects depth information to sketches after they have been completed. The current system can generate a “blur effect” that allows focusing on arbitrary depths, as well as images that enable stereoscopic viewing using binocular parallax.
