Our lab will present two demos at the IPSJ Symposium “INTERACTION 2026”, held March 3–5, 2026.

Tracking Multiple Juggling Rings Using Infrared LEDs and Its Application to Visual Effect Generation

Presenters: Hana Ito, Haruka Matsunaga, Kentaro Fukuchi

We propose a method that uses infrared LEDs and a high-speed camera to estimate the rotation direction and speed of multiple juggling rings in real time, and generates visual effects synchronized with their motion. Ring rotation has traditionally been difficult for audiences to perceive, but by making it visible, the system enables performers to incorporate fast and slow rotation into their choreography and opens up new expressive possibilities for juggling performance.

Superimposed QR Code Attack Using LED Displays

Presenters: Keita Suzuki, Kentaro Fukuchi
🌟 Selected for Premium Presentation

We propose a new disguised QR code attack using LED displays. Our previously developed superimposed QR code attack exploits the difference between human visual perception and camera imaging characteristics. While applying this technique to LCD displays imposed constraints on the range of code modifications possible, switching to LED displays removes those constraints and enables far more flexible manipulation of multiple modules, further strengthening the attack.
