The Fukuchi Laboratory at Meiji University School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences will provide technical cooperation for “3D Noh Extreme,” which will be performed at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre - Theatre East from November 28 (Wed) to December 2, 2018.
Following successful performances at GINZA SIX Kanze Noh Theatre in 2017 and at the Opera House in Versailles in 2018, which received acclaim both domestically and internationally, we have decided to stage the latest work “3D Noh Extreme,” a fusion of Noh and 3D video production.
This performance will feature “Kiyotsune,” “Kumano,” “Funa Benkei,” and “Aoi no Ue” on alternating days. The previously performed “Kumano” and “Funa Benkei” from the previous 3D Noh will have their visuals renewed for this occasion. Additionally, new works “Kiyotsune” and “Aoi no Ue” have been added to the lineup, with different programs and performers for each show.
