The Fukuchi Laboratory at Meiji University School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences is providing technical collaboration for the stage production “Ghost in the Shell ARISE: GHOST is ALIVE,” which will be performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Playhouse from November 5th (Thursday) to 15th (Sunday).
For this production, 3D video will be used as a special visual effect, marking the first time in Japanese theater. In addition, to recreate the unique world of Ghost in the Shell on stage, we have jointly developed new video technology with NEGA Corporation, which will be introduced on stage for the first time. Please look forward to a new visual experience where live actors’ performances and 3D video will intertwine in complex ways, making you question what your eyes are seeing.
