Research interests include user interfaces, cognitive science, and interactive & playful media.

Awards include the FIT Funai Best Paper Award (2002), the Virtual Reality Society of Japan Paper Award (2010), the Hakura Encouragement Award (2019), and the Innovative Technologies 2020 Special Prize-Wonders- (2020).
